Meet Kris & Nicole
Husband + wife team, wedding and family photographers, pretty awesome couple.
Our adventure into our photography business started in 2008, when we documented our good friends wedding in Maui. Since then we’ve been so lucky to create lasting memories, with clients that become friends, by doing what we love together.
We believe in building meaningful connections and not just take pictures, but create an experience that’ll you’ll remember forever.
We love having a cup of coffee on a Sunday morning, sharing a meal with friends and family, watching murder shows before bed, dance parties in the kitchen, and our biggest joys are hanging out with our two amazing kiddos, Ethan and Calvin.
We strive to document real life, authentic moments; images that can be passed down for generations to come and that bring you right back to that time.
About Us
Kris and Nicole met in 1999, bartending together, became friends and started dating in 2001.
Kris has his degree in English and Nicole has hers in Anthropology. They both received their degrees in teaching from the University of Windsor.
In 2003, Nicole taught English in Korea for a year and Kris got a full-time teaching job, but came to visit and they travelled around Korea and China.
July 22nd, 2006, Nicole and Kris said “I do.”
Kris & Nicole started Artisan Photography in 2008.
Nicole & Kris had their first kiddo, Ethan, in 2010.
Calvin is our rainbow baby, born in 2019, through IVF.
Calvin was diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) when he was 2 years old. He has taught us to find joy in the small, beautiful moments and reminding us daily that love and connection don’t always need words. His unique perspective has deepened our hearts, filling our lives with an unexpected, profound happiness.
