Karlie & Brian were married in July 2019.  The ceremony was at Malden Park and Caboto Club in Windsor, Ontario. We have photographed two of Karlie’s sisters weddings and we feel like part of the family now.  It was such an honour to be asked to shoot this wedding and spend the day with such a lovely family…again!

BOY MEETS GIRL

We met through my cousin. I kept bugging him to set me up with one of his friends and he introduced me to Brian. We all went out together to a stag and doe and a week later we had our first date. We went to a movie and then for coffee afterwards.

BOY FALLS IN LOVE WITH GIRL & PROPOSES

Brian proposed in our kitchen. It was perfect. We are always joking around and being sarcastic with each other. I was washing dishes and he asked, “What are you doing.” I said “washing the dishes…why are you asking obvious questions?” He asked why and I replied with “because we need clean dishes. Got any more good questions for me.” He said ya actually and when I turned around he was down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

KARLIE & BRIAN’S THOUGHTS LEADING UP TO THE WEDDING

All kinds of nervous! We wanted to make sure everything went right and as planned. We were also excited to start the next part of our lives. We were together for 6 years before getting married and we were looking forward to making that commitment to each other.

VENUE & LOCATION

We knew we wanted to get married outside and I loved the look of Malden Park. We loved getting married in front of the pond with all the nature surrounding us (even the geese lol). Our reception was at Caboto Club. They are amazing at what they do and were awesome to deal with.

KARLIE & BRIAN’S FAVOURITE MOMENTS

One of our favourite moments was our “first look”. I had my brother in law dress up in my mom’s wedding dress and surprise Brian. He thought it was going to be me but was shocked when he turned around. I have to say one of our favourite moments was taking pictures. It was the first time that day we were alone and we got to talk and just be silly with each other. We had so much fun.  Also, our first dance. Even though everyone is there, you really just focus on each other and it was a special moment.

KARLIE & BRIAN’S FAVOURITE DETAILS

I gave Brian a watch that had “It is your wedding day” engraved. Our favourite show is the office so I had to incorporate it somehow. Brian’s mom also got us little photos of our grandparents who had passed. I put mine on my bouquet and Brian had his in his pocket. It was so special to feel like they were with us. I also made all the signs we had for our wedding so it was amazing to see it all come together with the decor.

WHY KARLIE & BRIAN CHOSE US TO PHOTOGRAPH THEIR LOVE STORY

You had photographed two of my sisters’ weddings and we absolutely love the pictures you take. I knew as soon as we were engaged we wanted you to be our photographers.

Right from the beginning, you made us feel so comfortable. Brian doesn’t love taking pictures but you made it so much fun and had such a positive vibe through the engagement pictures and the whole wedding day. It felt like family was photographing our wedding.
